Sorullitos de Maiz ~ Corn Fritters |
| 1-1/4 cups of cornmeal 1 tsp salt 2 cups of water 1 cup of Fontina or Cheddar cheese, shredded Boil the water with salt. Add the cornmeal and remove from the stove. Add the cheese and mix well. Let the mix rest in the frig for about half an hour Place about 3 tablespoons of the mixture in the palm of your hand and flatten the mixture a bit. Then drop into a deep fryer or hot oil and fry a couple of minutes.. until golden. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. |
| 1-1/4 taza de Harina de Maíz 1 cucharadita de sal 2 tazas de agua 1 taza de queso de bola rallado Hierva el agua y la sal. Agregue la Harina de Maiz. Retire del fuego. Añada el queso y mezcle bien. Ponga la mezcla a reposar en la nevera por 30 minutos. Forme sorullitos y fría en abundante aceite caliente. |
